The Stage Deli is the epitome of New York deli cuisine. The food is excellent and the portions provide leftovers for days, which is good considering the price. The pre-meal pickles are the perfect blend of tart and crunch. The waitstaff, though brusque at times (hey, it's in New York after all), are speedy and reliable. A word to the wise: get your meal to go if you're claustrophobic. The tables are extremely close together, which, if you decide to dine in, makes you admire the waitstaff's graceful maneuvering as almost balletic. Stage Deli should be a definite stop on any tourist's itinerary.
