The Stanhope offers the best of NYC -- quieter Upper East Side location, right across from the Met and Central Park, great restaurants nearby and in the hotel. Just renovated so everything's up to date. Service is impeccable and sitting at the sidewalk cafe and watching the world walk by is incomparable. Plus, it's stature (featured in Sex in the City, a number of movies) means you'll likely see someone you recognize from the big or small screen.
