I purchased my unit from ebay. Its a well constructed unit plastic mouldings and steel rails. has variable impact dial on top of unit that is easy to adjust, can be tricky to load brads. it drove 1/2 brads into plywood with ease, flush with the surface.
The power cord is very short 12 inches, this means that you have two plugs hanging close to the unit which is slightly unwieldy, they get in the way, a longer flying lead would be much better.
Staples and brads are easily obtainable including off brand. Not a tool that i will use every day but one that deserves a place in my tool bag, it will stop those crushed fingers when i miss the brad with the hammer.
