Forget expensive electronic note-keepers.  There is no need to keep a battery charged, or to remember a password with these Staples Top-Bound Wirebound Memo Books.  The size is compact, and they are affordable.


Description

There are two sizes to these Staples Memo Books.  The 3”x5” size has 75 pages in each book, bound with a silver wire at the top.  The pages are white and college ruled with blue lines.  Assorted colors are available: Blue, Green, Gold, Red, and Black.  This same style memo book also comes in a 4”x6” size.  The larger size only has 50 pages in it, and the cover colors are in Blue, Lime Green,Orange, Red, and Black.  Each book is made from 30-percent post-consumer material.


Our Experiences

Everyone in our company has different ways of keeping track of information.  Many of us have these Staples Memo Books either at our desk, or on our person to be carried and referenced on demand.  The 3”x5” is the most popular size since it does fit nicely in a shirt, pants or jacket pocket.

These memo books are easy to use, too.  It is a basic notebook with the pages kept together with a wire spiral at the top of the book.  A color cover, and a cardboard backer, sandwich the bright white lined pages.  The spiral wire is designed so that the cover and pages can flip over the top.  This makes it easy to hold the book and write notes on the pages.  We typically use regular ballpoint pen or pencil when writing in these books.  The paper is of good quality, and we write on both sides of the paper.

I keep one of these books at my desk to keep track of who has last taken a set of keys.  I am the key-protector, and it is important to know where the keys are in case someone else comes looking for them.  My fellow coworkers use these books for keeping track of actions that need follow-up.  A few words written down are enough to jog memory.  As a task is finished, a line is drawn through it.  Since there are lots of pages in the book, it makes a great place to keep track of ongoing tasks, follow-ups, and information that needs action.  The pages are not perforated, but should you need to remove a page, they easily pull free of the wire.  Once a notebook is no longer needed, it is recycled.

Staples.com sells a 5-pack of these books for $4.29.  The website states that the memo book colors are randomly assigned.


Summary

These small affordable Top-Bound Wirebound Memo Books come in handy for keeping notes.  They are the size of an index card and easily fit into a shirt or jacket pocket.  This is a way to keep track of info in one easy-to-access location.
