Pros: Stylish, efficient, and consistent. A good machine.
Cons: Small buttons, awkward tank-removal, and expensive.
The Bottom Line: I've never been so happy with a coffee maker (and I've had many). The burner-less carafe-concept is great.

The way that it doesn't keep cooking the brewed coffee on a burner is great. The coffee never tastes burned. And really -- the carafe keeps the coffee warm for quite a long while. If I pour a cup when I come home from the office, the coffee will still be warm (not hot).
The removable water tank is a great idea, because you can take it directly to your water source -- however the implementation of the design of that removable tank isn't so great. It's fine... I just would have liked more for this much money. Another design issue I have is with the teensy bump-buttons. It's just more subtle than I'd prefer. I like obvious buttons that make clicking noises. I guess you've gotta sacrifice something to have such a stylin' unit though, so I'm not complaining. The cone is easy to remove and works well for adding/removing grounds.
And yes, it's the most expensive coffee-maker I've ever bought (or considered buying). The timer ensures fresh coffee every morning when I wake up and the system is flawless.
I bought mine at the Starbuck's store, and they gave me a free cup of coffee because of the purchase -- so be sure to ask for one too.
Added comments after having machine for several months: I still agree with my review, however I'd like to add that over time, the rubber gasket that seals the lid shut on the caraffe, has become more and more problematic. The rubber seems to have warped over time from the heat. I find opening the lid (for pouring out old coffee and washing inside) at this point quite difficult and sometimes have to ask my husband to open the lid for me. I still think this is the nicest coffee machine I've ever had -- but the hold-up quality of the rubber seal does leave much to be desired.
