I used to have a drip coffee maker that I threw the required Folgers crystals into in the morning and, in a few minutes, drank a cup of coffee or two. Then I tried a perk coffee pot and saw such a difference in the taste of the coffee. My farberware perk pot broke so many times that I couldn't imagine bringing it back to the store another time. Then a friend told me about the Utopia. She considers herself a coffee expert. So I bought it and watched the instructional video (IMHO for people who can't read instructions?). I tried my first pot and it didn't work. I felt stupid so i tried again and still no good. I returned it to Starbucks, went through the prequisitie inquisition ("Did you watch the video?"). When i got home, the second pot did not work. I was ready to give up. I returned it again. "Last chance. This better be worth it." I thought. Not only is it worth it, this pot has me addicted to coffee. It is so much better than any coffee I've tasted. My entire family loves it! Well, in 3 months the filter broke. I was devastated to be without my coffee. After trying three Starbucks, I found one who gave me a replacement filter. I called the warranty dept and they sent me two more new ones. The pot gets stained over time. You inevitably buy better coffee because it is so good. Is it worth all this? Absolutely. Don't hesitate. Its the best coffee you'll ever have.
