| missred412's Full Review: Starbucks Barista® Blade Grinder |
I have never been a big fan of Starbucks, mainly because I find them a bit pretentious and very overpriced. If you ever read or heard Jackie Mason's monologue about the chain, you'd understand! Put a French name in front of a regular cup of coffee... and it goes up a couple of dollars in price! Example: Cafe Cinnamonique.....$3.75 at Starbucks.... A cup of coffee with some cinnamon sprinkled in.... 70 cents at the corner deli! LOL
However, Starbuck's coffee grinder is another story! I always buy regular canned coffee, for the convenience, mainly. But, this Christmas my sister received two coffee grinders, and was nice enough to pass one on to me, along with a four pack of Starbucks variety coffees. I have to admit that there's nothing like freshly ground java first thing in the morning!
The grinder is so easy to use, and extremely fast. In ten seconds or so,with just a flick of your finger, those delectable smelling beans become perfectly ground and ready for the coffeemaker. The canister itself is attractive looking and small enough to fit on the counter. The only drawback I find is cleaning the blade area. Since it cannot be removed and washed, one must just wipe it out with a paper towel, being very careful of the blades,as they are extremely sharp. Other than that, it's a great little gadget to have, as well as a great gift for a coffee lover.
I still don't buy my cups of coffee at Starbucks..... I save that extra money to buy the beans so I can grind it myself!
