Pros: The Step 2 Snooze 'N Cruise Bed was a hit with our toddler!
Cons: Assembly can be difficult, keeping the child from climbing on it is impossible.
The Bottom Line: This bed is really cute and our child LOVED it, however the cons might outweigh the pros if ease of use is a factor for you.

| thebeachbums's Full Review: Step2 Snooze 'N Cruise Convertible Bed |
We bought the Step 2 Snooze 'N Cruise when our daughter was getting too big for her crib. We bought it at a yard sale in our neighborhood. We paid $75, however the suggested retail price is $150 to $175. The one we bought was practically brand new. The woman we bought it from told us her little boy was afraid of the bed. It came without instructions. That was a nightmare. It comes in 8 pieces. The owner showed us how to put it together. We got it home and tried to remember what she said. Assembly is a little tricky because one section comes apart as you try to assemble another section. It takes only a few minutes once you get the knack. We have moved the bed from one room to another a couple of times, without difficulty. I'm sure if you are going to buy a new one, it will come with easy to follow instructions, and if you buy a second hand one, just remember to assemble the 2 top pieces, then the side pieces and then put the base pieces on.
Our daughter loved the bed from the first night. I was concerned at first that she might fall out of the sides of the bed. She never fell out.
You do need a very firm mattress because it sits on top of the wheels and there is a 2 foot gap in the middle where the mattress doesn't have a surface underneath.
Changing sheets was always difficult because you have to reach in, pull the entire side of the mattress up and slip the sheet under the corner. This can be a pain! The mattress is a standard crib mattress, so you can use your child's crib mattress. This bed does not convert to a twin size bed, as some other toddler bed styles.
Another factor that you must consider is that your child will always be crawling up on top of the bed. The very top has an open "sunroof" and our children were constantly crawling up and dropping through the hole.
When our daughter reached 4, she was almost too big for the bed. Our other daughter was able to stay in her toddler bed (a Little Tykes toddler bed) until she was almost 7, but the Snooze 'N Cruise had contoured sides and that takes away some of the leg room.
Since our daughter has out grown the bed, we have been trying to sell the bed and so far we haven't had any takers for the asking price of $60.
