My child adores pasta. Any kind of noodles and this kid is all over it. So we eat a lot of pasta. I try to vary what is in the pasta and what types of pasta comes in the house to put a little variation in our diets. I was introduced to Stouffer's Lasagna years before my daughter was born though by my sister and her family. I remember them buying it regularly and serving it when they had a housefull of guests. This lasagna feeds 12 and more if you have small eaters or children in the family.

Stouffer's Lasagna has tons of meat in it and mounds and strings of cheese. I am not fond of all the meat in this lasagna, I would have preferred a less meaty version while still having meat in it. Of course we all love the cheese, there is enough cheese in this lasagna to satisfy any and I mean ANY cheese lover! I love that this is a great tasting meal that is ready to cook right out of the box, it does take almost 2 hours to cook it in a conventional oven(from frozen). Even though the box calls for about an hour and 15 minutes, the middle will be cold still sometimes so I do put it back in the oven for longer than the box calls for. It will only take an hour or so if you have defrosted it. Once it is done though, have you got a great tasting dinner that everyone will want again and again. After about 45 minutes, you can smell the delicious lasagna throughout the house. Your company will think that you have slaved in the kitchen all day making this wonderful meal! Just add breadsticks, rolls, french bread, or garlic bread and a salad with it and you have a great tasty meal with little effort.

I have made home made lasagna at home but I can never get it exactly how I want it, my noodles are not the right tenderness, the cheese burned on top, etc. Stouffer's Lasagna cooks up perfectly every time. The middle is just as cooked as the bottom and the top is not too done. I would recommend this for anyone in need of a hot meal for a lot of people. Would be nice to keep in the freezer for unexpected company. It will fill up the hungriest person coming over!

What is so good about THIS product?

Tons of cheese, real cheese, not artificial cheese. An almost perfect blend of pasta, cheese, meat, and sauce.

It is large enough to feed 12.

Is it worth the price?

That is debatable. At $11.00, it is expensive but feeds 12 people or for smaller families, you will have lots of leftovers.

What does this product look like?

Comes in a rectangle box that is orange. Layers of cheese, meat, noodles and sauce are what the actual lasagna looks like.

There has to be some bad to this product, right?

I found that it had too much meat in the lasagna but that is just me. I prefer a little meat in my lasagna but not much. 330 calories per serving and 130 calories from fat, 7 grams saturated fat, 2035 milligrams of sodium.

Final verdict:

One of our favorites! This gets 5 stars from both my daughter and I! One meal both of us really enjoy!
