kjscrafts's Full Review: Strawberry Shortcake for DS
This is a fun Strawberry Shortcake game. The graphics are a little on the simplistic side, but they are still decent. The game has several different mini games to play. Most of them are pretty easy. In fact some of them you can go on forever playing if you want because it is pretty much impossible to lose. Thus on these ones I usually end up just giving up on after awhile.
One of these simple games is Berry Bounce in which you must tap a certain amount of fruit that matches what you are looking for shown on the top screen. Some are a little more difficult such as Berry Tiles in which you must get all the tiles to be the same fruit, but as you step on them they change. This is still a pretty easy mini game, but it can get difficult at times, especially for younger kids.
The only mini game I find difficult is Berry Boarding, which is a snowboarding game. With some practice you can get okay at it, but I found it took a lot of practice and memorizing the course before I could get first. The snowboarding is still fun, though.
There is also multiplayer capability with this game, but it only is for Berry Boarding. I have not tried multiplayer and am not sure if it requires other DS to also have the game cartridge or if it is a download play game, but it appears it is one that all players need to have the game cartridge.
Overall this game can be fun, but with there only being six mini games it does get kind of boring after a while.
