For many months now I have been using Johnson’s® Kids No More Bedhead™ Spray on my children. When the bottle was running low I headed over to Rite-Aid for another container. I could not find it anywhere but then spotted at a cheaper price of $2.99 the Suave for Kids® Awesome Apple Detangling Spray. We switched from a watermelon scent to a fragrant apple aroma.

This container also comes in a green color with 10 fluid ounces as well as a clear plastic cap over the nozzle. After using several times the cap goes into the trash to make smoother mornings with one less step in removing and replacing said cap. I like the fact that I can use this with my own bed-head since lanolin is not listed but is contained in the other product.

The spray is more powerful with more mist coming through the nozzle, covering a wider range of hair plus helping with the frizzies and flyaways. The sound of the spray is louder as well, not that it makes a difference but nice to hear it doing its job. My kids hair looks shinier and seems easier to comb and brush through after a nights sleep once I have sprayed on the Suave for Kids® Awesome Apple Detangling Spray. I always find it easier to start at the back and work my way to the front of the head and do bangs last. The boys can handle this system better.

For autistic kids having their hair brushed, washed and rinsed is no easy task, especially if there are sensory issues. Take it from the adults who have autism like Stephen Shore, Donna Williams and Temple Grandin, it hurts and feels like real pain to an autistic person. My youngest son places his hands over his ears and ducks his head down real far to the ground when I brush. There is a purple octopus on the front of the bottle with interesting data on the back about this creature. The Suave for Kids® Awesome Apple Detangling Spray is tear-free and Ophthalmologist tested. This is not intended for infants or toddlers and should be done under adult supervision, using caution around the eyes. This is to be stored at room temperature and out of reach of children. Two squirts works on each head.

There is no need for a rinse after using this type of product but you do need to shake the bottle before spraying each time. I have never really figured that aspect out and forget some of the time and have never noticed a difference. If there is ever any eye or skin irritation then you need to rinse immediately and if irritation persists for a twenty-four hour period consulting a Physician is in order. The bottles are coded for recycling as well as the usual Suave®promise of satisfaction or your money back or a refund.

Since this bottle is the same size as the other brand we are accustomed to I believe this should last several months with continued daily use. I wonder if Suave for Kids® Awesome Apple Detangling Spray counts as an apple a day.
