Pros: Delightful long-lasting smell, softens, improves styling, no build-up
Cons: May not be best for limp or fine hair, less "shine" than other brands
The Bottom Line: I can't say this will work perfectly for anyone else, but I have to admit I'm smitten and I'd recommend it for anyone else with my hair type.

| justcuriouss's Full Review: Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner |
The Bottle :It came in a white hourglass-shaped bottle with a flip-cap. There's a picture of a coconut on the front under Suave's name. $1.68 at wal-mart.
My EXPERIENCE:
(Things to consider) I have collar-bone length, wavy, and moderately thick hair. I'm a college student on a budget used to salon-quality shampoos and conditioners I used back at home.
My hair, although not quite "coarse," is easily dried out. I straighten/blowdry my hair about 4 days a week. Most "moisturizing" or "sleek" conditioners I've used in the past do leave my hair with less frizz and more shine, but they also leave icky build-up in my hair, which makes it hard to style, stuck together, and heavy.
Enter Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner. I bought it paired with it's shampoo, and my main complaint thus far is that whereas it only takes a nickel's worth of shampoo for my entire head, I need a good tablespoon or two full of conditioner, but again -- my hair texture is probably at fault.
The conditioner is not runny, yet doesn't stay stuck to my hand when I turn it upside down. About the consistency of yogurt. It smells delicious -- not just like coconut, but also a floral, tropical scent. I let the conditioner sit in while I did all the other necessities, and it really soaked into my hair, instead of masking it. It rinsed out easily, and I noticed that my hair not only felt more manageable, like normal conditioners -- the actual texture of my hair felt softer.
It took me less time to style my hair than normal, and instead of the thick, texturized feeling I had before, my hair was soft, light and bouncy. I could, for the first time in a long, long while, run my fingers through my hair and it bounced right back into place. I did give up a bit of overall body, but the light bounciness I gained makes that fact an afterthought. I still can get a whiff of coconutty goodness a good 12 hours after using it, and build-up has not been a problem -- and best of all, I can go a day without shampooing and conditioning because although the conditioner works exceptionally well, it doesn't cake it that gooey stuff that my other (more expensive) conditioners leave to "laminate" my hair. However, I did sacrifice some shine for my new hair texture.
