| msm45's Full Review: Sudafed Cold & Sinus |
My wife and I have a tradition of having date night every Friday night. It is something that we do to extend the dating aspect of our pre-wedding days into our every-day marriage. One particular date night, I was suffering from a terrible head cold . . . one that nearly incapacitated me.
One thing that drives me insane is the inability to breathe. Sometimes I am OK if the congestion is in one nostril, but when it hits both of them -- I am useless. Worse than that, I often find myself leaking more than my kitchen faucet!
This particular date night, the tissues did not seem to go far enough. Ringing them out was not an option (according to my wife) and she was getting tired of hearing my attempts to SSSSSSSSSSNNNNIIF! I felt like I had the situation pretty much in control at dinner by trying to not drip in my soup, that is, until I sneezed! C'mon, everyone has had something similar happen to them! You know, when you end up wearing more on yourself than what your tissue can hold.
Well, in an effort to kill the congestion, we left the restaurant and pulled up to the local supermarket and purchased this product . . . Sudafed Cold and Sinus. I chose such a "name brand" remedy due to the fact that for me, in many cases, the generic brands didn't help. It is better in cases such as these to stick with something that carries a reputation for functionality.
The worst part about this Sudafed product is that the gel capsules are quite large for me to swallow -- I actually had to gag them down the best I could and hope that the "egg in the throat" feeling would promptly go away. Despite the swallowing inconvenience, about ten minutes after taking the capsules -- my nasal passage opened and I could safely blow my nose! There exists few better feelings on this earth than clean and clear breathing after countless hours of stuffiness and dripping. After taking the Sudafed, I did not note any drowsiness or any other side effects -- which is a plus any day!.
During past bouts with colds, I have purchased many competitive brands, as stated above. Some work well and others do not. I found that Sudafed was reasonably priced and its household-known brand name and prompt effectiveness is something to consider over many generic store-bought brands. What I mean is -- would you trust a cardiologist who did the minimum to get by in med school to work on your heart, or one that graduated top of the class?
Simply stated, I recommend Sudafed to anyone. It is a brand you can trust for anyone who has a head cold and wants to live life free of sniffing and dripping!
