Pros:You only have to take one small pill.
Cons:Very temporary relief.
The Bottom Line: It is a decent, easy to swallow, non-drowsy medication for very minor symptoms.
I've had nasal and other sinus allergies for many years and have taken Sudafed before, but they've since improved their product in size and strength. I've continued using Sudafed over the years whenever my nose feels stuffy.

Sudafed PE is used to temporarily relieve nasal and sinus congestion, and sinus pressure due to allergies, colds, or sinusitis.
The active ingredient is phenylephrine HCL, which PE is abbreviated for.
Sudafed PE is made by Pfizer, a well known over the counter maker of medications.
Each small red tablet is 10mg each and the dosage is only one tablet. They are very easy to swallow because they are so tiny. Sudafed PE comes in 4 sheets of blister packs with perforations every two tablets. I like that so I can rip off the empty ones so it is easier to take it out for the next dose.
The directions are to take one tablet every four hours, not to exceed 6 doses in a 24 hour period. Adults and children over age 12 are permitted to take this dosage. If there is a child under age 12, you must consult a physician.
And now I'm sure you would like to know how it works. For my minor sinus and nasal congestion, it works fairly quickly, within 30 minutes. But by about 3 and 1/2 hours later, I'm feeling very stuffy again and need another tablet. The relief is very temporary.
It may not be safe to take during pregnancy, so ask your doctor before you take it. Also, it is recommended that you do not take Sudafed PE in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO's), medications for Parkinsons or depression.
Also, speak to your doctor if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, or trouble urinating due to enlarged prostrate gland. Stop taking Sudafed PE if you get nervous, dizzy, or sleepy or symptoms do not improve within seven days or you have a fever.
I like it despite the very temporary relief because it is a non-drowsy formula and I can take it along with pain medication for rheumatoid arthritis. I also like that I never had any side effects, no jumpiness or anything.
Call their phone number for any questions regarding the product at 800-524-2624 in Spanish or English.
It is available in just about any pharmacy or grocery store for about $13 for the 72 tablet box.
This is my 20th entry in the The best LITTLE write off ever
