The Twins Continue To Make Mr. Moseby Miserable on Deck
Written: Sep 08 '09
Product Rating:
Pros: As hilarious as The Suite Life of Zach and Cody with a fun new setting
Cons: Poor special features and ability to watch elsewhere make it almost worthless
The Bottom Line: Overall a great show, but as a DVD release it is not really worth getting until the show goes off the air and you want a fix of the show.
kjscrafts's Full Review: Suite Life On Deck - Anchors Away!
Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.
This release is the first DVD release of episode of the Disney Channel spin-off from The Suite Life of Zach & Cody. This release contains a total of six episodes of Suite Life on Deck. Two of the six are presented as bonus features and make this DVD better than a lot of DVD releases of kids shows, as they tend to only have four episodes of the show. Sure whole season releases would be better, but in comparison to similar releases it is better, especially since it has two other bonus features.
The episodes included in this release are "The Suite Life Sets Sail," "Parrot Island," "The Kidney of the Sea," and "Maddie on Deck." The episodes called "International Dateline" and "Mulch Ado About Nothing" are presented as bonus episodes. The episodes include some of the highlights of the show, such as London trying to run away from the ship school in the "Parrot Island" episode and Maddie guest starring and almost ending up married to a young prince in the "Maddie on Deck" episode. The "International Dateline" episode is also one of the more crazy episodes with Cody reliving the same day several times.
The two bonus features other than the two bonus episodes are "Debby on Deck" and "The Floating Premiere." Debby on Deck is a short interview type segment of Debbie interviewing Cole and Dylan Sprouse and talking about working on the set of the show. The other featurette is about the premiere of the show on a cruise ship. The Debby on Deck thing seems new, but The Floating Premiere is something I am pretty sure was shown a lot on the Disney Channel when the show was first premiered.
Overall I enjoy the Suite Life on Deck show and this is a decent releases, however it was a waste of a Netflix rental because the only thing new was Debby on Deck and that was not all the interesting. With the episodes still regularly replayed on Disney Channel and my ability to watch all the episodes on Netflix Instant this release seems a total waste to purchase until the show goes off the air.
