Pros:Great nuetral color, soft to touch, fair price.
Cons:Requires some skill to install into the wall.
The Bottom Line: When your child needs to be confined to an area and a standard baby gate won't due, this one is great!
What a life saver this baby gate can be for those of us that have openings that the standard baby gates out there will not accommodate. When we remodeled our house to have a loft type area with wood railing at the top of the stairs we were suddenly faced with the dilemma of how we were going to keep this very steep stair way guarded! We spent about 1 week running around chasing our 1 year old away from the opening before deciding we better figure out something! With plans to actually build ( with wood and stain) an actual gate I ran across this super wide custom gate at Toys R Us. Pros of this gate would include its nice appearance in a neutral color, solid builds, adjustable width, and easy to open gate. This gate does need to be drilled into the wall for it to be sturdy enough to be put in front of an open stair way. Clearly drilling into your wall, will damage your wall, but the benefit of having your child safe is reward enough that you forget about this for the year or two you actually need the gate there. The price of this gate I would have to say is average. A standard baby gate will range a little less expensive but this gate has so much width to offer and also the option to attach to an additional or extension that the price really is not bad ranging from stores I found between $80.00- $100.00.
