The previous owners of our apartment made a feable attempt to spruce up the kitchen by purchasing the cheapest "stainless" fridge they could find. This meant that for almost a year, I fought daily with a crummy "10"cf refrigerator; our down-stairs neighbor was a frequent victim of "dropping the sausage" (meaning things, often frozen, regularly fell out and crashed loudly to the floor). We're just two people, but I cook, and the actual, useable 8.5 cf of space in the old fridge just didn't cut it. But finding a fridge that fit in the narrow, tall space was tricky. None of the mainstream manufacturers make anything for people in efficient, urban spaces (read: "tiny")--all their refrigerators are large enough for me to park my car in! So we turned to Summit, which is primarily known for commercial appliances.

The FF1625 was the answer to my prayers! It almost doubled my storage space, looked fantastic, and fit even better in the space than the old fridge. There are no handles jutting out (great for someone clumsy like me), making the whole thing look very sleek and efficient. The front is not actually stainless steel, just the look, but few "stainless" fridges I've actually are--you'd have to go way up the price point, or buy something that really is commercial. But it looks and cleans up great (doesn't show smudges too badly).
When we purchased this fridge, it was NOT rated as an Energy Star appliance. Other Summit products are, and this hasn't shown any real bump in our electric bill, but I don't know specific numbers. But the doors seal tightly, things are uniformly cool or cold, and the veg and deli drawers are great. I find the internal geography to be quite useful and well designed. The only thing I don't like about it is that it sometimes has a high-pitched mechanical whine when it runs, but my husband never notices it, and I got used to it quickly. Remember: we live in a small apartment with negligible insulation in the internal walls, and I'm obviously a bit hyper-aware of little details, so the sound may never be an issue for you. We've now had it for 2 years, and it's still working great.
One last note: When fridge was delivered, I needed to hang the door on the other side, but the included hardware was incorrect. It took two days for AJ Madison and the Summit tech people to get their act together and get someone down to correct it (the guy had to drill different pilot holes on the top, completely invisible now), but that was only two days.
