Pros: Doesn't bounce!
Cons: That isn't a good thing in what unfortunately seems to be the majority of cases.
The Bottom Line: If you play posts, buy this ball. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

...but this isn't it. This is one of the fluid filled type pucks we use in our weekend roller hockey league, as it doesn't like to bounce. That's a great, great thing, because most roller hockey balls bounce like there is no tomorrow, and the pucks roll on end no matter what surface you are playing on.
The way this ball goes about reducing bounce is by having a small bit of fluid in the ball. I'm guessing that the way it works is that the momentum of the fluid hits the ball surface that is rebounding off the floor and negates the ball's want to bounce. What this means is that you'll get a great, true roll from the ball.
Unfortunately, this also means that the ball is effectively dead. One cannot use this ball as an effective ice training tool, because it simply doesn't react like a 6 oz rubber puck. I have, on occasion, taken a slapshot and left it skidding on the ground, only to have a defenseman put a stick in front of it and have the ball die on the blade. Passing is absurdly easy with the ball, as you can gun it with reckless abandon, knowing that the ball will stop when it hits something. Also, since I play goalie once in a while, its an absolute terror: I control my rebounds easily, but the problem is they just sit there at my feet. Anyone with a brain knows to hang around the net, let someone put shots in from afar, and tap in the resulting dead rebound.
This ball is great for games where we have no goalies, but otherwise, we like to stick to the Mylec original ball or another similar ball that has less fluid in it.
