Pros: cheap and strong - it is what it is
Cons: a little heavy for anything but training
The Bottom Line: A good heavy training rim for a good price. Not for racing.

I weigh between 175 and 180 pounds. I run 36 hole rear and 32 hole front training clinchers in this model with 14 guage (straight) spokes on my winter fixed-gear bike. I've probably put just 500 miles or so on these rims as of this time, but given the quality of the roads in Atlanta I think this has been a more than adequate test for these rims. They are definitely of the weighty persuasion, but, for training, who cares? They remind me of the old GP-4 rims in terms of their stiffness and resistance. The stiffness could be due to the 14 guage spokes. So, your feeling may vary. UPDATE: my 32 hole Sunrim front bit the dust after about a season of training and hard group rides involving quite a few encounters with rocks and other road defects. I'd say that given the stress put on the rim (in light of my weight and the speeds of some of the encounters), it performed quite adequately.
