Pros:Price, Quality-Reduces Burns greatly, Still allows slight tan
Cons:Scent and sticky, but all suntans have this.
The Bottom Line: This is a good product to keep the suns rays from harming you. Bald guys have experience with this issue.
As someone who has glare, and lacks hair, I have to be really careful in the summertime. A chrome dome has certain advantages, such as there's no such thing as bad hair days, or having to bring a comb around with you all of the time. Women seem to love bald guys, as the first day I shaved my head, I was impressed by the amount of phone numbers I got on cocktail napkins. That never happened when I had hair, as I couldn't get a date even if I paid for one. :) I shave my head a couple of times a week to keep that Telly Savalas look, and when I don't wear a hat, I become a redhead thanks to our dear friend, the Sun. Virginia summers are brutal, and along with the huge number of "code red" days, I've become a bit more paranoid about skin cancer over the years.

Last summer I bought a 16 ounce container of Native Sun SPF 45, and although I never heard of the brand before, it was priced right at $4.99. After several trips to the beach with this product, I realized that it was effectively fighting the UVB rays that are so harmful, and kept my vulnerable bald head free from any redness. It still allowed me to get a slight tan, which is a good thing, but its protection was what I was so happy about. This summer I purchased another container of it, and am happy again to report that it is still working properly on keeping sunburn away.
The suntan lotion in this bottle is white, and it only takes a little bit, to cover your arms, legs, head, and back. It starts out a bit on the thick side of consistency, but allows for easy spreading, thanks to the help of Mrs.Toiletoctopus, who always makes sure I have this on. Does it smell? Of course! All sunscreen lotions have a certain odor to them, and this one has a bit of almost pineapple aroma to it, which is fairly pleasant. Its not overpowering, so I don't have to worry about being confused with Mr.Squarepants, and the scent goes away after a couple hours of baking.
As for the container, I like how you can either use the pull out applicator nozzle, or just unscrew the top to lather on large amounts of the formula. You can't lose the bottle either, as its bright orange, and you can spot it a mile away on the beach towel you are always seeming to look for. It is supposedly water resistant, and while it seems to come flying off after a dip in the ocean, the level of protection appears to be the same. Its not that greasy either, which is a big plus, and it leaves no skin irritation whatsoever.
The ingredients of this lotion are: Menthly Arthranilate, Octocrylere, Octyl Methoxcyinnmate, Octyl Salicyiate, Oxybenzone 3, and Titanium Dioxide. I do like how it has a lot of "octo ingredients", and it also has aloe vera and landolin to keep your skin moisturized. Its manufactured by the Sun Fun Products Company, which is located in Florida, so I'm guessing they had some perfect field testing conditions to generate this formula from. You can't go wrong with this brand, as I've been a very happy customer, and it has made a difference in reducing my burn level greatly. Plus, I kind of like smelling like a pineapple.
