Pros: Inexpensive way to hide (shade) air conditioners, etc.
Cons: Too flimsy for privacy fencing around patios.
The Bottom Line: If you need a small enclosure for an air conditioner or similar, this is the right product. If you're looking for nice privacy fencing, look somewhere else.
I have had several products that I have been impressed with made by Suncast so you can imagine my disappointment with the lower than normal quality of this Suncast Outdoor Screen Enclosure.
This is probably best suited for use only as a surround to hide an air conditioner or similar object from view. It would be perfect for that since the panels would come together and add support.
For other uses, it is not that great. As a privacy fence, it is not very sturdy. It comes with 4 panels and "posts" (more like stakes) to anchor the panels in the ground. Using just the panels and stakes give you a flimsy, weak fence. It would be better if the posts were full height so you could cement them into the ground and the panels could then be slipped all the way over them.
The panels themselves are not as nice as pictured. The photos give the impression of looking like those popular vinyl fences, but the panels are much lighter weight due to the fact that the are only molded on one side. The backs are "hollow." For this reason, you would only want to have the good side facing out so people can see them.
These have limited use at best. If you want to conceal an air conditioner (and help shade it) these would be great! If you want to close off a patio, they are too flimsy. For this reason, I have a mixed recommendation. Whether the Suncast Screen Enclosure would be good for you depends on what you plan to use it for.
