Pros: Parts fit together great, robust, value.
Cons: Long assembly, lots of pieces, size, instructions give too many steps per step.
I wanted to buy a swingset for the family that we could use for a long time and that had lots of features. I found it in this one, purchased at Costco for $1200. I remember having the old "tube-style" metal set as a kid, which would always rock back and forth with swinging, and which was quickly outgrown. This wooden set is rock solid (800 lbs?) and big. I'm just finishing putting it together. The DVD that comes with it says between 12-18 hrs assembly for 2 adults, but I think I've come in a little under; one 6 hour day with 3 adults and one 4 hour day with just me, and about 3 hrs left for 2 adults. The first few steps are almost mind-boggling, but once you get the hang of how things work, you'll be cruising right along. So far it's great. Just be prepared for LOTS of drilling and screw driving. You MUST have a power driver, and I can't imagine putting it together without an electric impact driver for all the bolts and lag screws. Do yourself a favor and rent, borrow, or buy one before you attempt to assemble this.
