The Sunset is a fabulous place to unwind after work with a few beers, or share a tasty dinner with friends. The beer selection is outstanding, and the menu is well organized and informative. Another reason to recommend this place is the juke box, which has some pretty fabulous selections. My one problem with the Sunset is the wait time, which can be pretty long, especially on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday nights. This is however, a testament to what a super place the Sunset is. The service is good, the food is great, and the beer is out of this world. There is also a decent wine selection, and some cool "beertails" which consist of several different types of beer mixed together. I recommend the chocolate covered cherry (a combo of Sam Adams Cherry Wheat and Guinness), or the Black and Blue (blueberry ale and stout). Without a doubt, the Sunset is my favorite bar in Allston.
Side note-- if you smoke, this is a great place to be. It is one of the few restaraunts that has a good size smoking section.
