Pros: Safety, portability
Cons: Difficult to fold, slides easily if the baby pushes on it
The Bottom Line: This product provides safety with an environment that is less constricting than a play pen. You can easily add to it to make it larger.

| kristinekeenan's Full Review: Superyard Xt Play Gate by North States Industries |
We have toddler twins and purchased this as soon as they could crawl. While we have baby-proofed the house as much as possible, it was dangerous when they started crawling in different directions! The Superyard XT is a good size, but it was not until we purchased an extension set for it that we felt it was large enough. We feel that this product provides the utmost safety but is not as constricting as a play pen. The girls have plenty of room to wander around. They both began walking by age one and we attribute that to them always having a large, safe area to practice in. To provide more comfort, we purchased a 5x5 padded vinyl playmat to put in the bottom. The Superyard packs well for travel as it folds flat. It is durably constructed and bends if pressure is applied to it rather than snapping. The height is perfect-the babies can easily see over it but we can also easily step over it to get in and out. The cons are that it is difficult to fold, but we do not fold it often. Also, I wish there was something on the bottom that made it grip the floor. Sometimes the girls push on it and it easily slides across the floor.
The babies are now almost 18 months old and we still use it (although less and less).
