My son, who is just one year old, has learned to push on it to get it to move around the room, when he has done that it becomes unlocked. It collapsed on him while he was pushing it around. He was stuck between the two sides laying flat on the ground. His fingers were through the holes and stuck under the side with him lying on top. I would not get this product if you have an active child. He does not like to be in there at all, he hates to be confined. Even with it placed against a wall, he can still get to change shape. It should not unlock for a one year old. I thought when buying the product it would keep him safe but it has put him in more harm than to let him run free through the house. On top of it being able to collapse, the way to open it up is just too hard to do. I found myself just stepping over it rather than to fight with it to open. It was built with very flimsy construction; the sides do not seem to hold up to any pressure, you can see it bulge out when trying to open it to get inside. The shapes that it can be made into is great, it can fit into most any room. I like the fact that more pieces can be added to it. The Superyard is a good buy to get if you want to put it around the tree at Christmas time to keep pets or children away from it. It was difficult to get the pieces together, however that is a positive aspect so the children can not get it back apart.
