Pros: Loved it for 3 weeks.
Cons: Hated it ever after.
I was interested in this product because it looked as if it would provide great exfoliation and stimulate circulation, etc. -- all the things the infomercial stated. I used it for about 3 weeks, strictly following the directions, and then I began to notice literally hundreds of tiny whiteheads all over my forehead and temples. I continued to use it for a few more days, but became so alarmed that I stopped. I'm 53 years old with normal-to-dry skin and I haven't experienced acne since I was about 15. The whiteheads just kept getting worse for about a month, then they gradually began to subside. That was 6 months ago and the whiteheads are gone now. However, tiny broken veins have appeared on both sides of my nose. Of course, I cannot be certain that they were caused by the "crystals," but I sure can't help wondering. I wrote Guthey-Renker, or whoever they are, a complaint letter and sent it certified mail, return receipt requested, and they stopped sending the product. I don't have sensitive skin and never expected the reaction I got, but I'm certain the product caused the whiteheads. The infomercial should be required to state possible adverse reactions and side effects the way pharmaceutical companies are.
