Cons: Face wash, resurfacing creme crystals are hard to wash off.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for smoother, softer skin then I highly recommend this product.

I have only had this product for two days so I will be back on Monday to give you a one week update.
One evening (OK so it was early morning) I couldn’t sleep and decided to look at a little television. I figured that if early morning television couldn’t put me to sleep then nothing would be able to. While I was channel surfing I came across Susan Lucci (for those of you who don’t know, she plays Erica Kane on All My Children), my first thought was “Good grief, what is Susan hawkin’ on late night television?”. To my surprise this product actually looked interesting.
Since my 27th birthday I have been having a hard time with the reality that in 3 years I am going to be thirty years old. I’ve been told that I look like I’m in my younger twenties but still…my nerves are shot. Keeping my skin heathly and beautiful has become very important…a high priority…OK it’s an obsession!
Honestly, I have been really happy with the results that my Olay facial cloths plus my L’Oreal moisturizer and a weekly exfoliating have given me but the Youthful Essence commercial got me thinking “Is my skin really the best that it could be?". I thought the answer was yes until yesterday morning.
The Youthful Essence package comes with a small bottle of face wash, the Youthful Essence crystal resurfacing creme, a resurfacing tool, two applicator sponges for the resurfacing tool, two AA batteries and instructions on how to use the product.
If you’ve ever seen the informercial then you will already know how to use the product since they show you but if not all you have to do it put the batteries in the resurfacing tool, apply an applicator sponge (it just snaps on very easily) and the tool is ready. To get your face ready just cleanse your face with the Youthful Essence face wash, dip your resurfacing tool in the Youthful Essence moisturizing cream, turn the resurfacing tool on and move the tool around your face in a upward circular motion for 2-5 minutes. The tool is very light weight and compact so that your arms will not get tired.
When I first saw the Youthful Essence resurfacing cream I thought this was a gimmick. I applied it to my face using the resurfacing tool and honestly I felt nothing. I mean…I felt the machine massaging my face but I was expecting to really FEEL the crystals on my face like you would when you exfoliate with a cream. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed…that was until I finished. Once the machine was off my face felt tingly (I kinda liked it *wink*). Once I rinsed my face I could see the difference and so could my receptionist. Yes, I used it while I was at work. And for the first time in my life my face was soft as a babies bottom. Never…I repeat…NEVER has my skin been this soft and until now I thought that I couldn’t take better care of my face.
There are two things that I don’t like about this product.
#1. I think the face wash is just horrible. I don’t like the smell and it doesn’t make my face really feel clean. I reminds me of that Skin So Soft by Avon that my mother used to use. *eww*
#2. The crystals in the resurfacing creme are hard to rinse off. Since they are so small it’s difficult to get them all off of your face and hands. After my first time using the Youthful Essence resurfacing creme then rinsing and wiping my face off it still felt gritty around my hairline. I guess that is why they say in the instructions you may want to rinse your face in the shower.
Other then that I absolutely love this product so far. After using it today my face feels even better then it did yesterday.
Recommended use of the product is use it everyday for the first week and then only use it about 3 times a week.

UPDATE
OK so it's Wednesday, but I did come back.
My skin is very soft (softer then it has ever been) and sooooo smooth. It's like my moisturizer just glides on and is sucked into my skin instead of just sitting on top of it.
I am very happy with the product.
