It Truly Outweighs the So-called Safety Can Opener!!!

Pros: One of the Best Can Openers That You Can Buy!!!
Cons: Main rivet, gears & cutter wheel can & will rust.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this product! You'll wonder how you ever got along without it!!!

WHY THE SWING-AWAY?
I bought this can opener quite some time ago. I've used it often enough. I've gotten quite a bit of milage from it & it's still going strong!!
HOW IS IT?
It still, in my opinion, is the best can opener on the market!
I love it! It's very durable & it lasts, & lasts, & lasts!
HOW SO?
Several years ago, I purchased on of those so-called safety can openers. It worked good for a while. I thought that I was getting a bargain, but I found out that all I was getting was a mountain of ongoing continuous aggravating headaches! And that was no bargain!!
That one is supposed to safely cut through the entire rim of the cans, hence making for a duller safer lid to eliminate dangerous cuts. But instead of safely opening the cans, it would keep sliding off the top, never being able to open any cans! By that time, I was fuming! I thought to myself: "This thing is more of a nuisense than a convenience & it's nothing but a piece of crap!!" Fed up dealing with it, & mad as hell, I finally through it in the trash!!!
So I ended up using the Swing-Away.
WHAT WERE THE RESULTS?
I found that the Swing-Away is the much better bargain. It's heavy, strong and can stand up to years & years & years
of use!
WHAT ARE THE FEATURES?
Features are very few:
1. Heavy metal design. Strong & durable.
2. Chrome plated. Lasts for years.
3. Has bottle opener.
4. Plastic coated handles for sure grip.
5. Has large turning handle.
6. Approved for durability by the Good Housekeeping Institute.
ANY SHORTCOMINGS?
Yes. The main rivet, gears & cutting wheel can & will rust.
This raises the question as to whether or not this product is dishwasher safe.
But in spite that, I wash it in the dishwasher anyway to keep germs & bacteria at bay.
FINAL THOUGHTS?
If I had to buy another can opener again, it would most certainly be the Swing-Away!
It's the best one out there!!!
WHERE TO BUY THEM?
Not sure where i bought mine, since it's been years ago. But
I'm quite sure & truly certain that they can be bought from such fine stores as Sears, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Bed Bath & Beyond.

One other thing:
As a safety precaution, please use extra care when using this product, as once a can is opened, a danger is present.
The lids have extremely sharp edges which can cut or nick
your hands. Throw the lids away immediately!
If you have small toddlers & children living with you, you know how well they love to investigate things. Put the lid in the can & bend the open end of the can tightly closed. This keeps the sharp lid from sliding out & makes the can completely safe!
