This sounds like just a marvelous pan and it seems to counteract all the bad features we've found in the one we use so often.
It was interesting about the non-smooth finish being non-stick. Life is looking up! ha ha
Fabulous review.
Thanks,
Lorace

Yeah, it seemed to combine the best of a non-stick pan with the best of a non-non-stick pan. *grin* I'd love to try a wok made of this stuff...

This review convinced me! (Reply to this comment)

I make a lot of puddings from scratch and frequently find myself scrubbing scorched milk from the saucepan, so I've been considering buying the Swiss Diamond 3.2 quart saucepan. A lot of the saucepans I looked at were too heavy, or the handles were too long for my storage space or not heat resistant. But the Swiss Diamond seemed just right. But I wanted to read user reviews before making the investing $100. I very much appreciate the level of detail included in this review, especially about the browning and ease of cleaning off cooked cheese. Very helpful. thank you!

This product DOES contain a form of teflon. The advertising is quite deceptive. Read about the testing done here:
