Where to begin on this little sweeper...I absolutely love it. It comes in a box with very minimal put together time involved (the handle) Everything about it is easy.
First of all it weighs next to nothing..around 2 lbs..which is nice as you can easily take it up or down stairs. It is also cordless and much to my delight, it has a very good battery life of up to 45 minutes of use. I use mine for about 5 to 10 minutes for each useage so I get a lot of use before I have to recharge the batter.
It comes with a recharger for the 7.2 volt battery that you simply pop the battery into it and plug it in..a light indicates that it is charging. Charge time is hard for me to answer for I simply plug it in and forget about it. I actually have two batteries and chargers so I simply rotate the two as I keep one charged all the time. My first sweeper broke due to human error no fault of the sweeper and I kept the old charger and battery.
I have read of other complaints about the battery not holding a charge but I have never experienced it..and of course with having two of them, I can simply rotate when I need a fresh battery..so I dont actually have any down time.
True to its name it does swivel 360 degrees...and is fairly flat in construction so it easily slides under the coach or low setting furniture.
It runs pretty good on carpet but much better on solid floors, wood and vinyl. It works by the use of rotating brushes but no suction..and I think it is about as good as your going to get on hardwood or laminate floors.
It has its limitation on carpeting and and seems to lose power and bog down a bit especially if you have thick deep carpeting.
It does pick up on carpeting but will never give you the finished look you have using a regular vacuum with suction.
Now you need to keep in mind, this is not a vacuum..this is a portable battery operated sweeper and with that said, I wouldn't expect anyone to compare it to a full size vacuum apples to oranges.
I use my swivel sweeper several times every day...and it is a must for clean ups after dinner or if small children are here. I used to just groan when I would see the aftermath of several grandchildren eating lunch or dinner..but now..it is cleaned up in seconds and with hardly any effort.
The only down side that I really can think of...and it's more MY problem than what other people would experience...but I sew a lot and the sweeper not only picks up the dog hair that you don't even see on the floor, but seems to find stray pieces of thread ...and the thread tends to get caught around the brushes underneath, so I do have to put a little effort into cleaning the brushes, but a nifty little hand tool which looks exactly like a sewing seam ripper, comes with the sweeper and it is used for just such things. However it can be annoying when the thread and long stringly things wrap around the brush rollers.
There is a pop off tray at the bottom that you remove to empy the debri and if you wonder if it is working...then the tray will show you that it has picked up things that you didnt even see on the floor...if you have pets, you will be surprised at the amount of dog or cat hair that it sweeps up off of the floors.
I also get a added bonus with mine... for toddlers seem to be mesmerized by this sweeper and it is so lightweight that they can sweep the floor themselves.
I would say this sweeper works best for hard floors...but bogs down and is not as effective on carpeting.
Unique swivel design gets into and under tight places and is easy to maneuver. Pivoting head easily glides across floor for fast cleanup in large area...More at CleanItSupply.com
