Pros: NONE. NADA. Absolutely no redeeming qualities of any kind, shape or form.
Cons: Bad product, poor service, poor attitude.
The Bottom Line: If you are in a store and a salesman approaches you with a Sylvania product RUN, don't walk to the nearest exit. STAY AWAY FROM SYLVANIA AND SYLVANIA PRODUCTS!!!!!!!

I bought this TV on October 5, 2008 and it worked (poorly) until August 23, 2009... a total of TEN MONTHS! Now the TV will not turn on- all I can get is a red flashing "stand-by" light. I called Sylvania's help line and went through all the attempts to get the TV to come on and it was dead. They said I would have to send it or take it to an "authorized service center" 60 miles from my home. I explained that I can't see to drive, but they said those were my only options. When I voiced my concern over the possibility that the cost of the labor and shipping could end up being more than the original price, they basically told me to take it or leave it. I hope somebody shoots me in the head if I ever buy another Sylvania product! I would STRONGLY advise people to NEVER buy Sylvania products! I bought this TV from K-Mart. I have contacted them and voiced an opinion that, since Sylvania had basically refused to handle this situation in a fair and honest manner, that they, K-Mart should stand behind their products and make proper restitution. I have received a positive response from K-Mart customer service, but it remains to be seen whether they will do what is right and either return my $375.00 or replace the TV with something other than a Sylvania product. Maybe I'm missing something somewhere, but it just seems reasonable to me that if somebody goes to a store and buys a television, it is not wrong of them to expect that television to last for a few years- certainly longer than ten months! Apparently, the folks at Sylvania think differently. I do know that this experience has taught me several things, among them is always check the fine print and be extremely careful with whom you are dealing. In my opinion, and from reading a lot of web reveiws, a lot of other people's opinions, Sylvania is a shyster outfit who absolutely refuses to stand behind their products. Don't deal with them.
