Pros: Excellent value (I paid $688).
Great picture.
Cons: Universal remote programmability.
Not the most sophisticated DVD.
The Bottom Line: Great value, especially for smaller rooms. I would highly recommend this product.

| vjbg8r's Full Review: Sylvania LD370SS8 37 in. TV/DVD Combo |
I have had this in my master bedroom for about 3 months and I'm quite pleased. I have it hooked up to Directv HD and I think the picture is great! I have a Hitachi 42" Plasma HDTV in the living room and the only major difference between the two is viewing angle. I can watch the plasma at very severe angles with great results, while the LCD is perfect for the bedroom since I'm looking at it virtually head-on. Only two downsides so far with this Sylvania is I can't program the Directv remote to operate both the hdtv receiver and the tv, and the dvd skips on rare occasions while watching a movie, usually 1 1/2 hours in to the show. Directv tells me that they are adding codes to program the remote all the time, so I'm hopeful that I'll be able to do that in the near future. I'm also pleased with the audio as well as being able to reduce the brightness for late night viewing. I went in to the process focusing on the more recognizable names and was surprised by the quality of the Sylvania. Bottom line, I feel that I got a 37" unit with a 32" price for a combo unit.
