Pros: Sound quality. Remote control feature.
Cons: Battery life. "Chirps" playing some MP3s. Skipping.
The Bottom Line: Interesting player with some great features (interface, remote), but sub-par MP3 playing (chirps with files over 192 Kbits), awful battery life, lots of skipping.

| julsol's Full Review: TDK MOJO Personal CD Player |
I bought a TDK Mojo 620 early in 2002. While I was initially impressed with the product, I started discovering some issues that disrupted my enjoyment of it:
The sound quality is terrific, for both regular CDs and MP3. But if you play MP3s with a rate higher than 192 kbit, some noticeable chirping starts to occur. It didn't play VBR MP3 files.
Even though the unit allows you to turn on an "anti-skip" feature, the player skips over and over, and then it skips some more. The skipping is more noticeable with regular CDs than it is with MP3 CDs. If you are a runner or need an MP3-Cd player for working out, this one is not for you.
The battery life is horrendous. The Mojo is a real battery hog; I never got more than 10 or 12 hours of usage on a fresh pair of AA batteries (even when turning the LCD lights off). Funny enough, I would take the used batteries off the TDK Mojo player, place them on any other device around the house, and the device would work for days!
On the positive side, the Mojo comes with a great remote control that makes usage easier. It seems also sturdy and easy to use.
