It turns out that my first foray into TIGI products is an absolute winner! I'm so glad I decided to try a new product line. I was enticed by the special offering of a free, full-sized shampoo with purchase of the conditioner. But this marketing works well, especially when the product is so good!

TIGI Bed Head Self Absorbed Mega Vitamin Shampoo is found only in salons or beauty supply outlets, however if you look you'll also find it at www.drugstore.com, and I'm sure other online stores as well.
On the packaging we are told, "Power up as you shampoo! Self Absorbed's mix of mega vitamins A, B2, D3 (??) and E gets out-of-shape or chemically treated hair physically fit. Flex your newfound strength. Flaunt the shine and body."
TIGI Bed Head Self Absorbed Shampoo is targeted toward damaged, dry, or chemically treated hair that needs a little extra moisture.
This shampoo comes in a plastic 12 oz. bottle with a pop-up top. Not the kind you press and the other side pops up, but the kind you pull up to dispense, and push down to close. I love these kinds of bottles. The bottle is clear so you can see the striking orange color of the shampoo inside.
The 12 oz. bottle is about $8.50 to $9.00, depending on where you purchase. I got mine as a gift with purchase when I bought the conditioner.
You should know that my hair is shoulder length, color treated, fine yet thick, straight, with an oily scalp and some dry and damaged ends.
I must confess that I'm quite attracted to the gorgeous orange color of this shampoo and the slick packaging. So I'm off to a great start there. In the shower I dispensed a small amount into my palm. Oh my gosh! What a delightful citrus orange scent! I'm totally nuts about the fragrance of TIGI Bed Head Self Absorbed Shampoo. It's not a real sweet orange scent, but more of a tart tangerine smell.
The shampoo itself has a thick consistency, and didn't run out of my palm, making it easy to apply to my hair. It created a nice, thick lather, even though my hair was pretty dirty. I rinsed, and applied a little more, which burst into a wonderful thick lather. After rinsing, my hair felt very clean, and the orange scent lingered longer than the scent of most shampoos I've used.
After drying and styling my hair as usual, I was so happy to discover my hair was easy to style, looked great, with lots of shine and bounce. This shampoo added moisture without weighing my hair down. I loved the results!

TIGI Bed Head Self Absorbed Shampoo was a wonderful surprise to me. I haven't gotten really excited about a shampoo in a long time, but this one gets five big stars from me. I adore the scent, I love the packaging, and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I'm definitely going to be buying more, and I don't care HOW much it costs - it's worth it!
