Pros: Quick meals, easy clean up! Food tastes like it took all day!
Cons: Video needs to shore more examples; booklet should be more informative
The Bottom Line: It's a must have, even if you only use it to make stews. Much safer than other pressure cookers. WONDERFUL!!!!!

| rushed4time's Full Review: T-Fal Expressware Pressure Cooker Set, 9-Pc. |
I love this set! I saw the informercial a couple of years ago, but the cost put me off. Once I married and saw that my husband loved to cook, I found it for a reasonable price and decided to buy it. My husband laughed at me, but was impressed with the appearance of the cookware once it arrived. Once he made his first pot of chili with it, he declared his undying love for the set!
So far, we've made chili, pepper steak, and beef stew with it, and we're beyond impressed with the set. It is simply amazing. I even use the large sauce pan for other things, and just really like the quality of it. I really cannot recommend this set enough!
OK, so I received some feedback asking for more details.
This pressure cooker will NOT work properly with an electric stove. You must have a gas range.
1. What came with the set? -- well, I bought two different sets, each coming with different things, so I'm not sure what comes with the basic set. In all, I have the 4 and 6 quart stock pots with pressure cooker lids, a 10 inch skillet with glass lid, pasta insert, the inserts that allows you to cook a second dish in the top part of the pot while cooking something in the bottom, and several utensils.
Like the skillet, but it's not non-stick, so I don't use it as often. Did make flaming cheese in it, though! The utensils are nice... coated in plastic, and I can use them with my Cephalon non-stick cookware. The pasta insert is in the basement; my husband and I prefer a colander.
2. Non-stick? -- Nope. The only time this was an issue was when we made the mistake of not using enough water for pressure cooking (we're learning as we go).
3. What makes it better than other similar products? -- well, I've never seen another stove top pressure cooker like this. This is one that even an ametuer like me can use safely... many pressure cookers are flat-out dangerous, and this one will not open until all the steam has been safely released. It's very easy to use, easy to clean, and it cooks a meal quicker than anything I've ever seen. I mean, 20 minutes for swiss steak with carrots and potatoes!
4. Stay cool handles? -- In a sense, yes. However, there is still hot condensated water on the lid when you first open it, so I'd recommend using a dish towel to open.
Easy to clean, but do not put the lid in water. The set comes with a video explaining how to clean it. It's been no problem for us at all.
Oh, and the stock pot does have other uses.. for example, we cook ears of corn in ours.
