| mykwb1's Full Review: T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Sets |
I got the T-Fal Ingenio (fat free) for Christmas 2001. After seeing the infomercial on this pan set I was impressed and had to have one. So I was thrilled to find the set waiting for me on Christmas day. At first I loved these pans, they were great. They cooked wonderfully, eggs over easy, no pancakes sticking, home-frys went on plants and not stuck on the bottom of the pans.
Although I did have some complaints right away. There was not enough lids. The lids all had vents, so I couldn't get a good seal when needed, and they were hard to attach upright to the pan when not using it.
After using them for a few months I noticed problems with the Handles, they would pop off unexpectantly. I actually have dropped a whole pan full of food on the floor because the handle popped off. OK so I figured I must me a moron, and better be more careful.
At about a year I started dreading the pans. The handles left gouges in the sides, The lids wouldn't fit properly, and the non stick was no longer non stick.
Now at less than two years old, I almost threw them away today. The non stick coating is now in my eggs, and my pancakes won't come out of the pan. I was so mad! The pans are even warped now.
OK Christmas is just around the corner.... time for a new set of pans...It just won't be T-Fal!!
