| frankweirk's Full Review: T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Sets |
I can tell you that on all three counts, I've found these features to be very handy. In my tiny kitchen, the whole Ingenio set takes up far less precious cupboard space than any of my other pots, pans, gadgets and appliances. That was the main reason why I bought the set.
The non-stick coating has stood up extremely well after a lot of use, even with metal utensils (although I'm *very* careful with those), occasional use of the dishwasher, and leaving burnt food in them overnight. They're very easy to clean. A little hot soapy water and a towel is all you usually need. Sometimes, getting dried eggs or liquid out of the little hex pattern in the bottom takes a bit more than that, but a nylon brush will loosen it without too much scrubbing.
The removable handles are well made, very convenient (and safe--no handle to bump when you're boiling liquid) and are easy to attach and release. It did take me a couple times to learn not to grip the handle while pressing the release button, but after that it was a breeze.
The strainer lids are ok, but I really wish that the set came with at least one lid that sealed. That would be my biggest complaint. The plastic storage lids are also fine, but I don't use them too much; I'd rather have the cookware clean and ready to use than sitting in the fridge holding leftovers.
