Pros:teflon doesn't flake, food really doesn't stick
Cons:color fades, could be made more scratch-resistant

I bought T-Fal Resistal about four years ago. I wanted good nonstick pots and pans that wouldn't leave flakes in my food (yuck!) and I also didn't want to shell out beaucoup bucks for the *really expensive stuff.

I really didn't even consider anything else. I'd tried T-Fal at someone else's house and fell in love. I probably should have done more comparison shopping but I didn't.

I love, love, love the vented lids. What a great little feature! It's such a small thing but it was a selling point for me.

The nonstick finish is wonderful. I can fry an egg without using any kind of oil or butter or anything and when it's done, it just glides out of the pan without sticking.

I think the honeycomb texture is annoying. It makes my pancakes look funny and it's harder to clean than a flat surface. I don't eat meat so I don't really care if it keeps food out of the grease. It's not an issue for me.

The color was disappointing. I ordered my T-Fal from a catalog and picked cobalt. When the package arrived, I found it was actually more like denim blue. I wasn't annoyed enough to make an exchange but it was a letdown nonetheless.

I think my T-Fal has held up pretty well over the last four years. There are a few scratches, mostly because my kids throw their forks and spoons in the pans when they're in the sink. I have the T-Fal utensils and we use those when cooking so there wouldn't be any scratches if it wasn't for that.

My husband uses cooking spray with teflon for some unknown reason and you can tell which pan is his favorite. It's totally ruined. The cooking spray burned on the pan and doesn't come off, making the teflon finish completely worthless. You still have to grease that one.

I've also noticed that the color is faded on the two pans that see the most usage. I don't know if it's from the heat or what but you can easily tell which pans are used most and which ones are almost never used. I hang my pots and pans on a rack with the bottoms out so it's really obvious. If I kept them in a cupboard, I would probably never notice.

Overall, I think it's great stuff. I don't see it lasting forever but I plan on replacing my T-Fal with more T-Fal when the time comes.
