The Next Big Thing

Pros:great mid rock feel, catchy songs, talented musicians
Cons:not a lot of different styles
The Bottom Line: Great CD, smooth flowing mid-rock, solid songwriting, great vocals
Creeper Lagoon, a band that's been around for a while on the Califormia scene is now taking it out into the country and soon should be making it big. This Frisco based back is getting known due to it's great songwriting, good feeling tunes and it's new CD "Take Back the Universe and Give" which has more hooks than a tackle box. The chorus' to many of these songs just draw you into the world that this band has created.
Their first single off of this album is "Wrecking Ball" which should be hitting some major airplay soon. Other great tunes on here are "Hey Sister", "Here We are" and "Sunfair" which gives the album a little switch up, from the smooth flowing vibe to a little upbeat/offbeat feel.
Overall I am really liking this band, they are coming into the scene at the right time when bands like Vertical Horizon, Lifehouse, and Nine Days have been hitting it big. They fit right in, and hopefully they can keep the trend going and hit the bigtime themselves.
