| beldorf's Full Review: Talking Chef Magic Kitchen |
We got this kitchen for our 3 year old's Christmas present. She loves it.
They didn't make cool toys like this when we were kids.
When you put a pot or pan on the burners and turn them on, you hear a sizzeling sound or boiling water sound. When you turn on the water in the sink, you hear water running. There's a cordless phone and every so often, someone calls you. If you don't pick up the phone, they'll leave a message and a light will flash so you can pick up the messages when you're not busy cooking. When you open the microwave door, a bell dings.
There's even a built in cookbook that activates "Chef Tony" when you turn the page. Tony will talk your child through either making dinner or breakfast, depending on which page the cookbook is turned to.
On Christmas morning, Emily started playing with the kitchen and when "Chef Tony" introduced himself, she started taking to the kitchen. I think she thinks Tony lived inside her toy.
If you have small rooms in your house, you might want to think twice about getting this kitchen. It takes up a good amount of space. But then, you'll probably see one on display at the store, so you'll get a good idea of it's size before you get it.
