| cartan's Full Review: Tamrac Digital Series |
The Tamrac Digital Series is so named because the front pouch of this camera case is designed to hold the essentials for a digital camera; spare AA batteries and memory cards. The camera section holds my Olympus C-4000 digital camera snugly, along with its strap, a TV cable and a Sima mini-tripod in a cloth sack. I have 8 AA NiMH batteries in the front section. I could squeeze the USB cable in as well. But that is it. No more room in this case for additional accessories. The 6 inch by 4 inch by 2.5 inch camera section won't hold much more; certainly not a large lens. Certainly no place to shove in the 6 inch by 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch battery charger.
If you want to carry just the essentials, this well constructed nylon case is perfect. A solid zipper closes the front pouch and the top covers the front pouch as well, closing securely with a velco strip and a solid plastic clip. A substantially wide rigid strap on the back slips over one's belt and has two button snaps for a secure hold if carrying on the waist. An adjustable, non-padded shoulder strap with solid metal clips is included.
