Poor Mgm't, rude behavior

This applies to the TT location in Ballston-- not the others. On a recent visit, having enjoyed this place in the past, we were shown to a table immediately next to a couple who were virtually yelling at each other and having some sort of emotional set-to, and would be unpleasant to sit next (and I do mean "next") to. Asked to be moved, the restaurant being only 1/3 full. The waitress refused. Not believing I could be hearing this correctly, I suggested we be moved to a particular, and obvious, open table four or five tables away. Refused. Called the manager and he, too, refused to move us, saying they wanted to balance the number of tables any one server had. When I said I understood his point but really didn't care in this particular situation, that they should respond to, they still would do nothing.
Next step-- we stand up, and speak to the manager privately, off to the side, and say clearly that if we are not reseated we will leave, and he said he would not do so. Obviously, we left. There is apparently no analogous phrase in the Thai language to "don't cut off your own nose to spite your face", or the management is independently wealthy and does not really want customers cluttering up the place. I have never been dealt with this way by restaurant mgm't, anywhere in the world-- be assured I have kept a good deal of business from this restaurant, which had been a regular haunt.
