I have always liked to gaze at the stars at night and wonder what is out there.
I received a Tasco Luminova telescope one year for Christmas. I was so excited to be able to look at the planets and the moon. It wasn't too difficult to assemble. When I finished assembling it, I took it out side for a peek. The first thing that I noticed is that It was hard to adjust the finder. Then when I finally got the object as close as I could in the cross hairs of the finder, I looked into the telescope and it was black. It took me about 45 minutes to find the object in the telescope. Every time I take it out to look at the stars, it takes me between 30 minutes to an hour to find objects if I find them at all.
Once I did find an object, it was very touchy to focus. The object would bounce around every time I touched it, and I had to move the knob fractions of an inch to get it into focus.
I also found that the only objects I could get into focus and look at were the moon and a few of the planets. Once I did get them into focus, I have to say, It was awsome! I showed my friends the moon, Jupiter, and Saturn. They thought that they were looking at something that I had put on the end of the telescope when they were really looking at Saturn. It was so clear, the only way you knew it was real is because it would move with the rotation of the Earth.
My mom told me she spent about $120 on it. If I were to buy another telescope, I would go for a better designed and quality telescope.
