Fresh Spring Rolls (Reply to this comment)
by annalin
The strange taste of the raw spring rolls was probably due to some of the herbs put inside. Usually it can be cilantro, mint, or Thai basil, or a combination of all 3. Also, the wrapper is rice paper soaked in warm water. It is supposed to be moist and pliable. Just letting you know the contents... Better luck on finding a restaurant more to your taste next time!

Thai (Reply to this comment)

I wish we had more Thai places around me (Albany, NY). It is one of those cuisines that has to be done just right to taste good (like sushi!). Sometimes I love thai food, but when it isn't prepared right, it can be so unappetizing!
