Having sinus pain and pressure is not fun. My mom has always had problems with her sinuses also. So as I grew older, I was not surprised that my sinuses began to give me problems, especially when the seasons changed. And when I moved from Florida to Pennsylvania recently, I found that my sinuses had a hard time adjusting to the change in the weather.
So it was time to look for something to relieve the pressure and the headache that I would get when my sinuses were acting up. My mother always used Sudafed, but I found that those tiny red pills made me drowsy at times, and I could not afford to be falling asleep all of the time. So that is when she told me to turn to Tavist Sinus instead.
~ TAVIST INFORMATION ~
These particular sinus pills come in the caplet form. When I purchased them, the regular price was $4.99 for 24-coated caplets. Though I did buy them on sale at Walgreens for $3.99 and then had a coupon on top of that. These caplets come sealed in individual caplet packages. It is recommended that you use these pills, only if the individual caplet seal is unbroken.
Use for:
~ Sinus congestion
~ Nasal congestion
~ Sinus Pain
~ Sinus Pressure
~ Sinus Headache
~ Minor aches and pains
Keep in mind that Tavist Sinus is for temporarily relief only. If you begin to experience these symptoms again after an amount of time has passed, you may need to take another dose, or consult your doctor. You may also need to consult your doctor about using this product if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. And most importantly, please keep these pills out of your little ones reach. The caplet package may sometimes be hard enough for us to get into, but you just never know.
~ DIRECTIONS ~
Directions: adults and children 12 years of age and over take 2 caplets every 6 hours, not to exceed 8 caplets in 24 hours, children under 12 should consult a doctor.

*~ MY THOUGHTS ~*
I am relieved to have found Tavist Sinus. I found that by taking Sudafed, I would become drowsy and thus unable to focus on my daily work. When my mother told me about this sinus reliever, I was very happy when I experimented with some of her pills, and discovered that they worked better than my old Sudafed. The Tavist box states that these caplets are non-drowsy, which would explain why I was able to use these during working hours, without having any unwanted side effects. Falling asleep at my job would not be a good thing!
As mentioned above, buying these caplets at regular price can become quite expensive if you are a frequent user of sinus medication. I usually buy a few packages when they go on sale and I have coupons, so that I do not get stuck buying them at regular price. But that is the only downside that I have found with Tavist Sinus.
As with most over the counter medications, there is the small detail that you shouldnt take these more than a few days. If you symptoms persist, you should consult with your doctor. In this case, these caplets are not recommended for more than 10 days. Very rarely do I have to take these caplets for more than a few days. But about once a year, my sinus pain becomes so bad that I have to visit my primary care physician for some much needed prescription medication, because the over the counter stuff just will not work.
I have been using this Tavist Sinus medication, and some others in the Tavist line for a little over 4 years and have never experienced any side effects after taking it. But please be aware that you might not be so lucky. If you experience any side effects, such as: nervousness, dizziness, sleeplessness, or fever. I would recommend that you discontinue using this product and consult your primary care physician.
I would have to highly recommend this Tavist Sinus product because it works. Most importantly, it seems to work quickly and efficiently without any side effects for me!
