| adhack's Full Review: Taylor Made 360 Ti Driver |
These days drivers come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and price ranges. With all of the marketing and huge claims its important to remember that no one driver will suddenly make you a great golfer. And different clubs work for different people, which is why you can pick some great, high-dollar drivers up on e-bay for half of what they cost new!
That being said, lets talk about the Taylor Made 360 Ti driver. As far as Im concerned this driver set the standard for all jumbo, titanium head drivers. At 350 CC the head is large enough to inspire confidence, yet understated enough not to look cartoonish in the tee box. Styling of the club is sleek and black and looks great. No bright yellow and purple shaft on this club (stock anyway).
How does it hit? I shoot in the low 90s to high 80s. I have a fairly high swing-speed (107) and can usually hit my drives in the 280-300 yd range. My golfing buddy had recently purchased the 360 Ti and I gave it shot the other day. What a joy to hit this club. I found that a nice easy and smooth swing gave me the same results that really winding up and cranking gave me with my old driver. Many of these Jumbo head drivers can give you a hard time when you really try to tie into a driver. I found that this was not the case with the TM 360 Ti. Straight, true, boring trajectory every time. If found that I could work the ball a bit from left to right, or right to left by changing the position of my hands a bit. I hurt to give it back and the end of the round. Remember though, a bad swing with this driver will still produce a bad drive. Where this and other jumbo head drivers help is if you miss the dead center sweet spot by a quarter inch youre still looking at a solid drive.
Heres the beauty of the Taylor Made 360 Ti right now. Youve probably seen some of Taylor Mades new drivers retailing around $599. Reviews have varied on some of their new drivers, but that doesnt stop the golf shops from trying to clear the old 360s from the shelf. You can pick up a brand new TM 360 Ti at Edwin Watts, GolfSmith, or just about any other major golf retailer for about $150. My friend offered them $130 and had them put a new grip on the club as well! In my opinion you cannot find a better driver for that price.
Low or high handicap, if you are looking to upgrade your equipment but do not have four bills to drop on a new driver, go pick up a Taylor Made 360 Ti. You will not be sorry.
