Durability:
Pros:Made in USA. Inexpensive incentives/rewards for children. Acid-free, lignin-free. Bright colors, small size.
Cons:None
The Bottom Line: Recommended for classrooms, daycares, or any other area where you might want to use stickers as rewards or incentives. They work well for many purposes.
Even before I had kids of my own, I learned the value of using stickers and other small rewards as incentives and motivational aids for kids I was working with. I used them for my daycare kids, the kids I tutored, the preschoolers I worked with, and eventually my own children. My kids are all grown up now, and I continue using them as incentives and rewards for my grandchildren.
Stickers such as the Mini Happy Face Stickers from Teacher Created Resources can be used alone, or in combination with incentive charts. Kids love stickers and often like creating artwork with them, and they love to add stickers to incentive charts. When working with preschoolers, I passed out charts for assorted chores. Each time the kids did the expected chore they would get a sticker. These particular stickers worked well for the kids because the 3/8 inch diameter stickers are the perfect size for many charting activities. The kids all love the smiley face stickers, and they come in a nice assortment of eight different bright colors so you can use a different color for each task on your chart or for each day of the week.
Each package contains 528 self-adhesive stickers, so there are plenty to go around for home, daycare, or classroom use. The stickers are acid-free, lignin-free, and printed using using non-toxic inks so they are safe to use for a variety of purposes. The colors are bright and really stand out nicely on a variety of surfaces. They range from red, green, yellow, purple, 2 shades of pink, and 2 shades of blue. We stuck them on papers, cardboard, folders, book covers, wall charts, and more.
Teacher Created Resources offers such stickers in a variety of designs and colors, and also offers various package sizes. This particular package cost around $2 for the 528 stickers, which I consider to be a great deal. I have purchased other stickers in much smaller packages for around this price, so was happy to get this size for such a good price. They also offer incentive charts that match these, and some of their other sticker varieties, or you can make your own charts if you prefer.
I recommend these Smiley Face Stickers for classrooms, daycares, or anywhere there are young children around. They work well for preschoolers on up to adults, because they can be used for so many things.
