| bdawg02's Full Review: Technics SA-DX1050 5.1 Channels Receiver |
My first receiver was a Technics SA-818 that my dad gave to me (from 1979). Since then I have never purchased another brand of stereo receivers. Technics has always in my mind been at the high end of stereo equipment. The SA-DX1050 is at the high end just like its predecessors. Also, very affordable for what it offers. A consumer reports best buy from Nov. 2001. I personally recommend this unit for all your home stereo/home theater needs. 100W by 5 channels is more than adequate for home use. The only downside is the lack of a phono input, but you can't find those on any home theater receivers nowadays.
