| azimhusain's Full Review: Technics SA-AX540 Receiver |
I bought my technics receiver about 3 months ago, for about 120 bucks, brand new. Probably one of the better investments i've made- its really powerful, has awesome bass reflex system. Some of its features:
- cool handy universal remote which has every button you can imagine, you can control your VCR, DVD, TV, cable etc... with this one remote.
- ease of use is pretty ok, once you get the wires figured out and the correct mode set its easy to use
- there's a cool on screen help, which will tell you what you're doing wrong if you try and switch between incompatible modes
- treble, bass controls, as well as sound effects mode button, speaker select
- has built in radio which can store a number of stations.
So far i've totally enjoyed this, its really spiced up my DVD experiences and it just makes those MP3's and movies sound millions of times better! Obviously for optimal enjoyment you need quite a few speakers, including surround speakers.
Pity there is no center channel... that is a bit of a pain.
