| d4256's Full Review: Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table |
The Teeters Inversion table is the best. I bought an F7000, exactly like the F5000, but with the traction handles and it has worked perfectly. I injured my lower back doing weighted squats working on my leg strength for racquetball. The back pain continued to get worse to the point where I couldn't play racquetball or golf. I got massages, did acupuncture and went to a chiropractor. I got a little relief but the pain was still there and it continued to get worse.
I met with an orthopedic surgeon who indicated that I had injured the disks in my back and it was pressing on my sciatica nerve and that was why the pain was travelling down my leg. He suggested a series of epidural shots and pain medication.
At about the same time my racquetball partner, told me about inversion. My neighbor had a Teeter's inversion table so I asked him if I could try it out. I tried it out for about 10 minutes and it felt like the pain in my back lessened. I did some research on the internet, found the Teeters Hang ups to be rated by far and away the best and I ordered one.
Each week that I used the Teeter's Inversion Table the pain would be reduced by about half. After about 6 weeks of use, my back was totally pain free. It was the first time in about a year that I had no pain in my back. I was able to resume playing racquetball and golf. I continue using the table each night for about 15 to 20 minutes before I go to bed.
The Teeter's Inversion Table is sturdy, easy to put together right out of the box and easy to learn to use. You feel totally comfortable on the table. I wouldn't own any other brand.
The clamps locking your ankles are very secure. I was going to get the gravity boot attachment but when I spoke with Teeter's they talked about readjusting the ankle clamps. After I worked with that for a while I found a very comfortable setting and do not feel the gravity boots would be any more comfortable than the setting I am presently using. I think if most people would adjust the clamps and wear the proper socks and tennis shoes they will get a real comfortable fit.
All in all this is a quality machine that will eliminate your back pain with regular use.
